To best create an environment that is welcoming for all, we follow community standards that will be applied to any comments, posts, or messages that we receive. By participating in the AANHPI ‘Ohana Center of Excellence communities, you agree to adhere to the guidelines for interaction and acknowledge the prohibited content to help us maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all.
Please be advised that we will remove comments, block profiles, and/or report individuals who may be in violation of our community standards. As we continue to grow and adapt to each situation, please note that these standards may be updated or modified without notice.
Guidelines for Interacting & Engagement
When interacting in the AANHPI ‘Ohana Center of Excellence, please consider the following:
- Be Kind and Courteous: we’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
- No Hate Speech or Bullying: make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
- No Promotions or Spam: give more than you take to this community. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren’t allowed.
- Respect Everyone’s Privacy: being part of this community requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make communities great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the community should stay in the community.
- Be relevant: comments that are irrelevant to the subject matter discussed may be removed for that reason.
Prohibited Content
We will remove comments, tags, posts, or messages that contain:
- Blatantly partisan political views.
- Explicit commercial endorsements.
- Offensive comments: racist, defamatory, indecent, offensive, profane, discriminatory, misleading, unlawful, or threatening comments.
- Personal attacks: we do not tolerate personal attacks, name-calling, trolling, or abuse.
- Private information: do not post another person’s private information or content that encourages others to share it.
- Dangerous behavior: we do not condone dangerous behavior or violence, or incite violence or other action that violates anti-discrimination laws.
- Sexual content: we have zero tolerance for share sexually explicit material, or sexualize a public figure.
- Targeting: we do not allow comments that target private individuals through unwanted pages, groups, or events.
